Eleanora’s Falcon – Trevor Boyer
Named after the mediaeval Sardinian princess, this fine species well merits it distinguished name. Long winged and buoyant, its powers of flight are the match of any falcon, though its smaller size limits it to lesser prey than the Peregrine and Lanner Falcon. It is one of several birds of prey occurring in both dark and light colour forms.
